Daily Program

Each day commences at 8:45am with the first session devoted to rehearsing vigorously while all minds are fresh and raring to go! Students throughout the day will, depending on their ensemble, participate in full ensemble rehearsal, sectional tutorials, stage band, orchestra, sport and recreation. The day concludes at 4:15pm with everyone heading home, ready for another big day. For more information, please refer to the attached PDF.

The true rock stars of the show! Prep to year 3 students learn the very basics of violin along with music games that help to learn everything music, eventually rocketing them into our advanced strings. Quite often a younger sibling of our older students

Every so often the planets align & we are fortunate to be able to combine our advanced ensembles. This enables the string & band worlds to collide into a rich & exciting explosion of sound

Our newest addition to camp. Our brass band will be working with Australia's most successful brass band conductor...Mr Howard Taylor. This will be exceptional.

Stage Band

A safe bet! Without a doubt a crowd favourite. Our stage band is part-time and requires audition. Conducted by Mr Michael Purtle, so you better hold on, because these charts will be pumping!

Finale Concert

Each Bel Canto Music camp culminates in a finale concert held on the Friday evening at 6:15pm. This gives students and conductors the opportunity to perform for their family, friends, neighbours, and anyone who would like to see and hear high quality performances from the musicians.

Musician's Code

The biggest event of any Bel Canto Music camp is the grand finale piece which the students have been working on collaboratively throughout the week. This masterpiece can be an exciting challenge simply due to the enormity and exhilaration of finishing the concert on a high. However, due to the Bel Canto ‘Musician’s Code’, the details about the finale masterpiece must remain a secret until the concert...meaning no parents can find out!
