Enjoy Your Music More!

Bel Canto Music has been tried and tested by thousands of students over the years. Our daily timetable has been fine tuned to ensure all students get the most out of their musical pursuits, yet allowing plenty of time for recreation, sport and activities...FUN!

Each day commences at 8:45am with the first session devoted to rehearsing vigorously while all minds are fresh and raring to go! Students throughout the day will, depending on their ensemble, participate in full ensemble rehearsal, sectional tutorials, stage band, orchestra, sport and recreation. The day concludes at 4:15pm with everyone heading home, ready for another big day. 

Each Bel Canto Music camp culminates in a finale concert held on the Friday evening at 6:15pm. This gives students and conductors the opportunity to perform for their family, friends, neighbours, and anyone who would like to see and hear high quality performances from the musicians. Throughout the week, conductors and tutors keep an eye and ear out for students who are working exceptionally well. These students are presented trophies and prizes provided by our sponsor.

The biggest event of any Bel Canto Music camp is the grand finale piece which the students have been working on collaboratively throughout the week. This masterpiece can be an exciting challenge simply due to the enormity and exhilaration of finishing the concert on a high. However, due to the Bel Canto ‘Musician’s Code’, the details about the finale masterpiece must remain a secret until the concert...meaning no parents can find out!

After the camp has finished and students get to have a big sleep in and continue enjoying their well deserved school holidays, the constant whistling, humming, and playing of the camp music will continue for months to come! Students will return to their instrumental music lessons and school band rehearsals with renewed energy, skill, stories and friendships.

Beware! Bel Canto Music takes no responsibility for the addictive nature of the camps. Students and parents need to be aware that once you have been, you will be back time and time again. Bel Canto Music does however, take full responsibility for a life of musical passion and enjoyment!
